Welcome to ASPECTOS CULTURALES

Semos Unlimited and New Mexico Highlands University have developed a New Mexico History Anthology. It is authored by various scholars. It was done as a topical anthology rather than a chronological book for two reasons. One is that Native American history really does not fit into a chronological telling of history. The second is that, with New Mexico's diversity of cultures, the members of those cultures need to speak for themselves. One author writing about these cultures would not be able to sense the deep culture that a native takes for granted. The book will come with a Teacher's Guide (by Georgia Roybal) on a disk. The Teacher's Guide contains the state content standards and benchmarks, a bibliography, charts/graphs/maps, suggested field trips, related music/ poetry/folklore/essays, periodicals, photos not contained in the book, suggested speakers, videos/movies/power points, web sites and worksheets (a crossword puzzle and study guide for each chapter) for each of the eight sections. A Santa Fe, New Mexico based firm dedicated to preservation and sharing of many aspects of Hispanic culture particularly through the Spanish language.

The products; Amigos™, tapes, books, CDs, games, teachers resources, workshops, radio programs, etc., are all designed to enlighten and increase the awareness of Hispanic culture in school-age children and adults, as well as to improve the understanding and use of the Spanish language.


Semos Unlimited, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the unique language and culture of Hispanics. This is accomplished primarily through the production of culturally relevant bilingual educational materials in a variety of formats: written, audio, video, etc. The primary products are a monthly periodical on 4 reading levels called AMIGOS and a 1/2 hour weekly radio program called Aspectos Culturales.		MathSonic is an Internet service designed to allow students, parents, and teachers to customize a math curriculum to an individual student or to a classroom of students. During the customization process a user can select the grade level, grading threshold, activities, and learning topics from our base set of curricula. Each curriculum, activity, and learning module provides a high level of interaction, tracking, and reporting.
